About Dr Sebastian Bejma
I have always been drawn to the parts of medicine that sit at the intersection of science and craft — where clinical knowledge meets the precision of the hands, and where the outcome is something you can see.
Surgery gave me that. Years spent in operating theatres across plastic surgery, orthopaedics, and general surgery taught me how the body is structured, how tissue behaves, how to think in three dimensions about anatomy that most practitioners only encounter in diagrams. That foundation never left me — and it informs every assessment and every treatment I carry out today.
Aesthetic medicine found me through the same curiosity. The more I understood about how faces age — the loss of bone (a structure I spent years learning to respect in the operating theatre, first things first), the shifting of fat compartments, the changing relationship between structure and skin — the more I saw it as a genuinely medical discipline, one that deserved to be practised with the same rigour and honesty as any other. Not a luxury service. Not a beauty treatment. Medicine, applied to something that matters deeply to people.

My Background
I qualified with an MBBS and have been GMC-registered since qualification. My postgraduate training was completed in the UK, with clinical experience spanning plastic and general surgery, orthopaedics, and general practice – a breadth of training that gives me an understanding of anatomy, tissue behaviour, and patient care that I consider essential to practising aesthetics well.
I have been practising aesthetic medicine since 2021, with experience across injectables, energy-based devices, laser treatments, thread lifting, and minor surgical procedures including skin lesion removal. I have attended multiple specialist aesthetic training courses and have published articles on aesthetic topics in a number of publications. I hold an MBA (Essentials) alongside my medical qualifications.
I am a member of relevant professional bodies and maintain my knowledge through ongoing training and engagement with the published clinical literature — because in a field that moves as quickly as aesthetic medicine, standing still is not an option.

The Clinic
Dr Sebastian Bejma Aesthetics is based in Leeds and serves patients from across West Yorkshire and beyond. The clinic operates on an appointment basis, with consultations booked directly. Every patient is seen personally by me — from the initial consultation through to treatment and any follow-up.
